Airmen interested in applying for any of these programs must coordinate their application package through their base education office. The staff of the base education office must verify the data in sections 22–25 of the AF Form 56 and help with the Scholarship for Outstanding Airmen to ROTC (SOAR) routing procedures. There is only one selection board each year that meets in January. If selected, you will receive instructions and be required to provide additional documents. Visit the ECP Page for more information.
SOAR applicants must submit waivers to email@example.com for more information on waivers. between July 1 and August 1.
Waivers for the Airman Scholarship and Commissioning Programs (ASCP) and Professional Officer Course-Early Release Program (POC-ERP) must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org with application NET September 1, NLT October 15.

Joining Air Force ROTC From Other Armed Services
Members of other branches of the service wanting to join Air Force ROTC and pursue a commission as an Air Force officer may apply for POC-ERP or ASCP. You must first obtain a conditional release from your enlistment from your service’s personnel system and then meet the requirements for the program you are applying to: ASCP or POC-ERP.
