Foundations Of The Air Force

This survey course focuses on the structure and missions of Air Force organizations, officership and professionalism. It covers an overview of Air Force and defense topics and introduces communication skills training.

  • One hour of class per week

Leadership Laboratory

This course (to be taken in conjunction with Foundations of the Air Force) is a weekly laboratory that teaches Air Force customs and courtesies, health and physical fitness, and drills and ceremonies.

  • Two hours of class per week
  • Two 1-hour physical training sessions

Leadership And Followership Course

This course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of both leadership and team building. It is imperative that students are taught from the beginning that there are many layers to leadership, including aspects that do not always come to mind. Such aspects include listening, understanding themselves, being a good follower and problem-solving efficiently. Students will apply these leadership perspectives when completing team-building activities and discussing things like conflict management. Students should demonstrate basic verbal and written communication skills. Students will apply these lessons at Field Training.

This course (to be taken in conjunction with Leadership and Followership) provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate fundamental management skills and prepares you for field training.

  • Two hours of class per week
  • Two 1-hour physical training sessions
