Need more money for school? Most universities that host Air Force ROTC detachments offer some form of financial aid to ROTC students. This list describes the benefit these universities are currently offering.

Detachment 025 offers several AFROTC-specific local scholarships, to include:

  • The Sue Strauch Scholarship Award of Excellence: two scholarships of $500 each, awarded annually to two students
  • The Karen Jo Curtis Memorial Scholarship: approximately $500 awarded each year
  • The Air Force Endowment Scholarship: approximately $500 awarded each year
  • The William K. Daley Memorial Loan: one-time loan of $500 to be repaid six months after graduation with no interest

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University provides an incentive scholarship for all four-year and three-year AFROTC high school scholarship recipients. The ERAU ROTC Incentive Scholarship is valued at a minimum of $34,000 over a four-year program, dispersed in the amount of $8,500 each year. This scholarship is renewable as long as the student continues to be in good standing for the AFROTC tuition scholarship.

A $1000 supplement subsidy is available to a minority student winning a three-or four-year scholarship. $3000 in additional scholarship monies is available each year to cadets. These scholarships are merit based, including academic and ROTC performance.
