Out of state students are automatically entered to compete for a non-resident scholarship. These renewable awards are reserved for entering freshman who are not residents of Alabama. The value of these merit-based awards ranges in value from $4,500-$6,000 per year. This scholarship is awarded regardless of enrollment in the AFROTC program. Applicants with a 24+ ACT will be competitive for this scholarship.

The ERAU ROTC Incentive Scholarship is valued at a minimum of $16,250 over a four-year program. The ROTC Incentive Scholarship is dispersed $6,500 for the first year, and a minimum of $3,250 for each additional year. This scholarship is renewable as long as the student continues to be in good standing for the ROTC tuition scholarship.

All new USC AFROTC scholarship designees/recipients are eligible to receive a $4,000 USC ROTC scholarship in addition to any tuition, fees, or book awards that the student may receive from AFROTC. USC students, who receive a USC Competitive Scholarship (Trustee, Presidential, Leadership, Associates, or Dean) or other USC scholarships in addition to their AFROTC scholarship, may retain up to $6,000 over tuition, fees, books and supplies in combined awards. The total of all these awards cannot exceed the student?s cost of education as established by USC. USC AFROTC cadets majoring in engineering may be eligible for more scholarships if the combination of their ROTC and other scholarships does not exceed tuition, fee, books, and supplies plus $6,000.
COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES, CO
4-Year Recipients-- CSM guarantees full tuition and fees from all sources for eight semesters (Fall and Spring Term only). 3-Year Advanced Designees-- CSM will pay an Incentive Scholarship (from all sources) equal to one-half of tuition for the first year. Years 2 through 4 are funded as described above. Non-Scholarship Student Incentive Pool-- CSM will offer an Incentive Scholarship pool of $20,000, to be offered to non-scholarship recipients (new students only) who still want to participate in the ROTC class to "check it out." Resident students will be offered $1,000 for the year, and non-resident students will be offered $2,000. Offers must be made and confirmed to the Financial Aid Office no later than May 15. The Fall semester amount is guaranteed.* However, the Spring semester amount will not be confirmed until the student begins the application process for an on-campus ROTC scholarship. * If the student drops out of the Military Science at any time during a semester, the Incentive Scholarship will be reduced by a prorating or other means, as recommended. On-Campus Scholarship Recipients-- A 3-year scholarship winner will receive funding for years 2 through 4 as described in the first section above. A 2-year scholarship winner will continue the Incentive Scholarship in the second year, then will be funded in years 3 and 4 as described above. Field Term and Study Abroad Programs�Any CSM supplemental Scholarship can be used for study abroad.

CLEARWATER CHRISTIAN COLLEGE, FL
CCC/ROTC Room and Board Scholarship program is to assist AFROTC scholarship recipients with living costs while attending Clearwater Christian College as a resident student. Room and board scholarships are considered on a case-by-case basis and will not exceed the cost of room & board. Selection and award amounts will be determined based on financial need, student classification, and AFROTC tuition scholarship amount. Priority is given to students who apply for these funds by April 1. To be eligible for any room and board scholarship the student must complete the FAFSA.

Type 2 AFROTC scholarship recipients will receive a tuition waiver for the remainder of tuition costs and an average room and board scholarship from the University of Tampa. Type 6 AFROTC scholarship recipients whomaintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA will receive an additional $5,000 tuition scholarship and an average room and board scholarship from the University of Tampa. To be eligible for any room and board scholarship the student must complete the FAFSA, live in a residence hall on the University of Tampa campus, and continue to receive his/her AFROTC scholarship.

CHAMINADE UNIVERSITY OF HONOLULU, HI
Students receive $3,000 to $5,000 academic scholarship based on their high school GPA. AFROTC scholarship recipients receive an additional $1,000 ROTC scholarship. Both scholarships are renewable on a yearly basis, dependent on college GPA. These scholarships can be used for relevant educational expenses (tuition, room & board, books, fees, supplies, etc.)
HAWAII PACIFIC UNIVERSITY, HI
All 3-year scholarship recipients will receive 50% tuition waiver for the first year (before scholarship is activated). School will waive the tuition difference for all Type II &VIII scholarships (after scholarship is activated). Scholarship recipients eligible are for a $400 monthly stipend for off-campus housing (limited to four slots) for length of scholarship. Stipend will be awarded for 10 months ($4,000/academic year).

Partial first year tuition waivers for 3-yr scholarship recipients will be considered on an individual basis. Merit and field of study will be factors in the award. Almost all majors are available, including Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Meteorology. To obtain campus housing for the fall semester, scholarship recipients must apply in the previous spring to receive geographic priority consideration. Typically, the application deadline is in mid-March. Applications are accepted after the priority date, but are processed in order of receipt.

Indiana State University has established an ISU/ROTC Incentive scholarship to be awarded to selected outstanding Air Force ROTC recipients who have already been awarded an ROTC Scholarship. Valparaiso University will provide additional assistance to Air Force ROTC Scholarship recipients who receive three-year awards. We will insure that students in their first year, when they don’t receive monies from ROTC, will receive at least $5,000 from either Valparaiso University, federal, or state financial aid programs. The amount received could be greater than $5,000, and could be from a combination of aid sources.

Centre College will offer scholarships covering room and board costs to 3 and 4-year AFROTC scholarship recipients. These room-and-board scholarships will be effective during the period in which the student receives the scholarship. The College reserves the right to review commitment periodically as conditions warrant.

Renewal of this offer is contingent upon student maintaining the required GPA and the ROTC scholarship. A PAS Scholarship is available and awarded based on financial need and merit. THOMAS MORE COLLEGE, KY
All four-year Type I Air Force ROTC scholarship recipients will be given a room grant (at the double room rate) for all four years only if room is available and provided he/she resides on campus. All three-year Type II AFROTC scholarship recipients will be granted a full tuition grant for their freshman year (less any Federal and State aid eligibility). A room grant will also be provided (at double the room rate) for all four years; only if a room is available and provided he/she resides on campus. The full tuition grant is contingent on the recipients continuance in the Air Force ROTC program for all four years and they will sign a repayment affidavit for the full cost of the first year’s tuition should they not continue for whatever reason, except medical disqualification, on to graduation and commissioning. Thomas More College will have no limit on the number of four-year Type I or three-year Type II Air Force ROTC scholarship recipients who wish to attend under the current criteria.

Any 4 Year Type 7 HSSP Out of State Scholarship Winner is authorized the In-State Tuition rate. The University of Kentucky provides free room and board to all active AFROTC high school scholarship recipients. Additionally, the University of Kentucky Merit Scholarship Office provides up to $5,000 for scholarships for students in Aerospace Studies each academic year. The Department of Aerospace Studies will make the decisions regarding how to best administer these funds. The only restriction is that the recipients must be enrolled full time on the Lexington Campus. The Merit Scholarship Office will review the program every 3 years to ensure this arrangement is allowing the scholarship funds to go to the most deserving students.

Grants are equal to standard university room and board costs on the Boston University Charles River Campus. Boston University Supplemental ROTC Grant is available to all 4-year Type II recipients. The Supplemental ROTC Grant will pay the difference between university tuition and the Air Force ROTC Scholarship for four years. Under the Boston University incentive program, all 3-year, Type II recipients receive a grant equal to one-half of the total tuition for their freshman year. In their sophomore year, when the AFROTC 3-year, Type II scholarship takes effect, students receive a Boston University Supplemental ROTC Grant for the difference between University tuition and the Air Force ROTC Scholarship. In such cases, the CRWU-sponsored grant will be reduced to a level such that in combination with ROTC grant, the two will not exceed the prevailing annual tuition at CWRU. If a student is a recipient of a three year ROTC scholarship, CWRU will provide a matching grant equal to the value of the ROTC grant for the freshman year and the 25% matching grant as described above for the three succeeding years provided that ROTC funding is provided. Early commitment to the University of Cincinnati will be one of the factors in determining who will receive the awards. Financial grants are also available to students enrolled in Aerospace Studies. There are 9 awards available per year dispersed at $1,000 per semester. Students must be full time and hold a 2.5 minimum GPA. Non-residents are given preference.
