AFOQT – Air Force Officer Qualifying Test

AFROTC – Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps

AFSC – Air Force Specialty Code

APAS – Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies

ARDA – Assistant Regional Director of Admissions

AS100 – Aerospace Studies (freshman level course)

AS200 – Aerospace Studies (sophomore level course)

AS300 – Aerospace Studies (junior level course)

AS400 – Aerospace Studies (senior level course)

ASCP – Airman Scholarship and Commissioning Program

BDUs – Battle Dress Uniform

Cadets – Members of the student population of AFROTC

Cadre – Members of the faculty population (DOD personnel) of AFROTC

CAP – Civil Air Patrol

COC – Commandant of Cadets

Crosstown – A school that has an agreement with a nearby AFROTC Detachment

Det or Detachment – The Air Force ROTC unit at a host university

DODMERB – Department of Defense Medical Examination Records Board

Dream Sheet – Job and assignment preference worksheet for cadets

Field Training – 4- or 5-week encampment in which cadets receive officership training

GMC – General Military Course

HBCU– Historically Black College or University

Host University – University where the AFROTC detachment is physically located

LLAB – Leadership Laboratory

PAS – Professor of Aerospace Studies

PFA – Physical Fitness Assessment

PFT – Physical Fitness Test

POC – Professional Officer Course

POC-ERP – Professional Officer Course Early Release Program

PT – Physical Training
