
Olmsted Cultural Immersion Program (OCIP)
The Olmsted Cultural Immersion Program (OCIP) is a two-week program managed by the US Air Force Academy (USAFA) in which Air Force ROTC AS300Aerospace Studies. Junior-level course studying the anatomy of leadership, the need for quality and management leadership, the role of discipline in leadership situations and the variables affecting leadership. (rising senior) cadets travel with USAFA cadets to a non-English speaking country and are exposed to foreign cultures and languages.
Cadets may also have the opportunity to:
- Attend foreign conferences, seminars or briefings
- Visit foreign military academies
- Work on research projects
- Participate in educational tours
Currently cadets in this program travel to the Balkans, Brazil, China/Japan, Ethiopia/Rwanda, Thailand and Vietnam/Cambodia.
