Reconnaissance/Surveillance/Electronic Warfare Navigator

Performs duties of Reconnaissance/Surveillance/Electronic Warfare Navigator or electronic warfare officer (EWO) to accomplish reconnaissance, surveillance, search and rescue, electronic combat, training and other assigned missions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reconnaissance/Surveillance/Electronic Warfare Navigators responsible for planning and preparing for a mission - reviewing mission tasking, intelligence and weather information. These Navigators also file flight plans and conduct crew briefings, ensuring that aircraft are preflighted, inspected, loaded, equipped and manned for mission.

Reconnaissance/Surveillance/Electronic Warfare Navigators are required to have a thorough knowledge of theory of flight, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft operating procedures and mission tactics. They are responsible for operating available navigation systems and ensuring operational readiness of the crew by conducting or supervising mission specific training.
