Duties and Responsibilities
Using their knowledge of flight theory, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft operating procedures, and mission tactics, Mobility Navigators operate available navigation systems to accomplish assigned mission and ensure operational readiness of crew by conducting or supervising mission specific training.
It is the responsibility of the Mobility Navigator to plan and prepare for a mission - reviewing mission tasking, intelligence and weather information. Mobility Navigators also file of flight plans, and conduct crew briefing, ensuring that aircraft are preflighted, inspected, loaded, equipped, and manned for mission. Additional responsibilities include developing plans and policies, monitoring operations, advising commanders and performing staff functions related to this specialty.
