Trainer Navigator

Performs duties of a Trainer Navigator to accomplish navigator training and other assigned missions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Trainer Navigators are responsible for training the Air Force's Navigators, planning and preparing for mission by reviewing syllabus requirements, student progress and weather information. Participates in mission planning, preparation and filing of flight plan, and crew briefing. Ensures aircraft is preflighted, inspected, loaded, equipped, and manned for mission.

Trainer Navigators also operate available navigation systems, and must possess a thorough knowledge of theory of flight, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft operating procedures and mission tactics.
