Airlift Navigator ![]()
Duties and Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Airlift Navigator to plan and prepare for a mission - reviewing mission tasking, intelligence and weather information. Airlift Navigators also file flight plans and conduct crew briefings, ensuring that aircraft are preflighted, inspected, loaded, equipped and manned for mission.
Using their knowledge of theory of flight, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft operating procedures and mission tactics, Airlift Navigators operate available navigation systems and ensure operational readiness of the crew by conducting or supervising mission specific training.
