Communications Commander

Directs and monitors activities to ensure seamless integration of communications and information support resources for Air Force operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Communications Commander directs communications and information functions of subordinate base communications, combat communications, computer systems, combat camera, air postal and air communications squadrons. Responsibilities include monitoring communication and information activities, as well as monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of activities and functions, training programs, readiness of personnel and systems, and operation and adequacy of support activities.



Although there are no corollary civilian opportunities, the leadership and management experience all Air Force Officers receive is in high demand among America’s best companies.
