Duties and Responsibilities
Medical Entomologists develop and administer medical pest management programs, ensuring that pest control operations do not present unacceptable risks to human health and the environment. They formulate integrated pest-management plans and provide integrated pest management technology transfer to the field.
Medical Entomologists develop and test the effectiveness of pesticide compounds and formulations and their distribution systems and modes of action, They also explore the physiologic effect of pesticides on insects, rodents and man, and prepare comprehensive interpretive research reports pertaining to medical biology.
